Celox PPH keynote on postpartum haemorrhage management. Obstetrics

Reflecting on his extensive experience and the positive impact that he and his team have made on the outcomes of thousands of mothers across Germany, Prof. Henrich presented valuable insights into managing obstetric haemorrhage. His discussion highlighted the significant role that CELOX PPH, developed by our partner Medtrade, has played in improving maternal care.

Key findings from the CELOX PPH Series review (covering 102 patients with uterine atony) include:

  • 100% success in treating level 1 & 2 bleeds of up to 2500ml in both vaginal and c-section deliveries.
  • 77.8% reduction in hysterectomy rates compared to the prior standard of care (balloon tamponade).
  • 95.6% success in managing level 1-3 bleeds of up to 8000ml in vaginal deliveries (excluding vacuum extractions).

These outcomes underscore the life-saving potential of CELOX PPH in addressing the challenges of obstetric haemorrhage.
